Shikara Collection

Our Shikara collection is named and designed after a practical and iconic mode of travel and transportation on the bodies of water in Kashmir.

Shikaras are low, versatile, hand-made wooden boats that act as vegetable markets, commuter transport, tourist guides, and general transportation.

Using simple lines with earth and water tones, the collection mimics this staple piece of Kashmiri life.

Staying true to the tradition and craftsmanship, our cashmere shawls are soft, light, and incredibly versatile. Each of our pure cashmere shawls are called "ring" shawls, as they are sheer enough to pass through an average wedding ring.

Whether wrapped tight in the winter, or draped loosely in the shoulder seasons, this thin and beautiful shawl will compliment any wardrobe

Vegetable Dyes. Pure Cashmere Wool.

200cm X 100cm

Perfect Imperfection: All of our pieces are made of hand-spun wool, and are hand-woven on a loom. Thus, no two pieces are the same, and often there are imperfections in the weave that give each piece it’s uniqueness.

Shawl Colours: These shawls incorporate natural wool colour, and vegetable dyes. Showcasing the natural colour of the pashmina goat means there will be variations among the cream and brown styles.

For the vegetable dye colours, the dye families employ techniques to keep colours as true as possible. However, there also may be slight variations in the blues and greys.
